Thanks to the following for responses to my problem regarding
compilin Xsun on the Sparc under gcc1.36:

Winning solution award goes to Casey, who told me I needed to compile
server/os/4.2bsd/oscolor.c using plain cc.  He also says this is
true for rgb/rgb.c (not an issue for me cause I was only compiing Xsun).
He says -fpcc-struct-return doesn't work on the Sparc under gcc1.36.

I'm not sure yet if GCC-Xsun is faster than CC-Xsun, but at least I have
it running.
