So far, people have kindly volunteered to serve as libg++ pretesters
on the following machines/systems

Sequent Symmetry/Dynix
Sun3/SunOs3.x
Sun3/SunOs4.x
Sun4/SunOs4.x
Encore/Mach
Vax/Mach
386/MicroPort SysV.3
Masscomp 5600/RTU
HP9000xx/HPUX

It does appear that there will be a need to create config.libg++
scripts that create or edit .h files, since compile-time #ifdefs no
longer seem to adequately capture all the information needed to
distinguish different configurations. If the system you use is not
among those listed above, you could help yourself and others by
pretesting these config scripts.

If you would like to be a prestester for a system not listed, please
write me soon (at dl@oswego.edu).  Again, you need to have internet
ftp access, and be willing to test prereleases usually within a few
days of a request.  If you cannot do this, but have some
highly-libg++-dependent programs you could share with pretesters, that
too might be helpful.

replied: Thanks! I'll make a mailing list and send out a note within a
few days.)
