Much of the information is courtesy of Plessey Microwave Materials of San Diego, because of a security oddity: due to PMM's connections to its British parent company, much of its work in stealth materials is unclassified! Due to fears about technology transfer -- a bit odd, since most of PMM's expertise in the area comes from Britain in the first place -- many of PMM's defence customers won't reveal the application of materials ordered from PMM, and so there is nothing secret about the materials. Aviation Leak has some fun trying to guess the real applications from the cryptic specs that are all PMM gets. Henry Spencer at U of Toronto Zoology uunet!attcan!utzoo!henry henry@zoo.toronto.edu
