I am presently working on my masters degree (in Computer Science) and have
reached the stage when I should be applying for my Phd program. I work in
the field of language acquisition using existing linguistic theories to
provide the framework for psychologically relevant acquisition systems. I
currently am working with a GB based theory, but would be glad to work in
another framework if the support was there.
I would really appreciate some suggestions on what schools to get info. from.
I know about some of the major work going on at 'the big schools', but may
be overlooking some of the less famous schools which are doing interesting 
work. I am especially interested in European schools (since they seem to be
both GB and Prolog dominated), but would like to hear about any school doing
research.
So, if you know about a school that does research in this field - please drop
me a line. If you are a researcher in this field, I'd really appreciate 
hearing from you. All responses will be answered, even if its just a thank-you
for the name of a school.
