Message-ID: <20795@unix.cis.pitt.edu> Date: 22 Nov 89 05:49:43 GMT Reply-To: scratch@unix.cis.pitt.edu (Steven J Owens) Organization: Univ. of Pittsburgh, Comp & Info Services Lines: 31 Hello out there in Netland... I'm a more or less loyal EMACS user (I like EDT, but try to use it at home from an Apple II - nightmare city) and I'd like to know if there is any sort of EMACS program for the Apple II+/e computer? Not IIgs (I don't foresee coming into several thousand dollars anytime soon - and if I did, I'd use it for my tuition.) but plain ol' II+ upgraded to a IIe via an 80 column card... Gnu Emacs would be preferable, actually. Speaking of Apples and Emacs, a few months back I posted asking for help because when using vt100 (mainly when using Emacs, because that's the majority of my online use, but also when using other vt100 programs) on the Apple, I have some slight problems - things don't quite update right all the time, and I have to keep requesting screen redraws (just had to do it now, actually). I received several replies. They were informative, although they could not correct the problem. One person advised me on how to go about figuring out what was wrong, but it requires time and expertise that I don't have. Still, thanks for the advice. Steven J. Owens p.s. I would prefer e-mail reply to my request, as I don't read this newsgroup often... Steven J. Owens | "Twist ye, twine ye!
