|printers.  On an Epson with a wide carriage, it will generate output
|11 wide by up to 45 inches long, as a single postscript "page".  The
|printer prints until the entire page has been output, then does a form
|feed and stops.

I can beat that!  According to my trusty /bin/dc, I can do up to about
11"x230" (19.6') or 14"x180"(15.4').  Or 12 times that in low resolution
mode.  Of course this would require configuring additional swap space,
and I don't even want to think about how long it would take to run.
Anyone for high-class "Happy Birthday" banners?
