All this talk of definition of democracy etc is academic --- pragmatically,
the definitions are irrelevant; what is relevant in terms of definition is
the motives and objectives of the committee.
In this respect, there is one clear fact, any committee that does not
invite the opinions of people such as Drs Richard O'Keefe, Lee Naish and 
the like is fundamentally flawed. Who cares about country of origin? Just
make sure you get the best people.
