I need advice on SMTP. Keywords: Unix Mail, Data General, CEO Message-ID: <612@sppy00.UUCP> Date: 22 Nov 89 21:53:02 GMT Reply-To: sed@sppy00.UUCP (Steve Driscoll) Organization: Online Computer Library Center, Dublin, Ohio. Lines: 13 I've been assigned to link our two electronic mails systems. One system is Unix mail on a Pyramid, the other is CEO Mail on a Data General (CEO is an Office Automation package). Our plan so far is to link the DG with the Pyramid using TCP/IP via Ethernet. There is a product on the DG which interfaces CEO mail to SMTP and I've heard that SENDMAIL will work with SMTP too. My questions are: 1- Will this work (and what do I need to know to make it work) and 2- Is there a better way? Thanks in advance for your help! -- *** ** * | | OO CC L CC // *** ** * | | O O C L C // *** ** * | | O O C L C // *** ** * | | OO CC LLL CC // Bringing information to people!
