TI where on top during the early '70-s. In the late '70-s they started degenerating into terrible stuff like the TI-31 and TI-57 (I'm not sure about the last one). Things that lasted 3 months or sometimes even shorter. Double pressing of "3" and other not to pleasant surprises (recognize?). If you've got an old TI from '73, take care of it well, it's one h*ll of a calculator. :-) It'll last almost forever. TI does has not kept up their quality the same way that HP has.
