I want to write some utilities like ls (more like the unix ls, and one that doesn't step the head so much on -l), man (with whatis and all), and lpr(I'm not sure what is out there). I'd like to see some examples of how these things are done to save time. Am I reinventing the ls? The ls that I saw was a bit different than the unix version and looked like it could be faster.
