Earlier this year I posted an announcement of the formation of the
Numerical C Extensions Group (NCEG). After 2 sucessful meetings we
have now issued a letter ballot to elegible voting members of X3J11
asking them to admit us as a working group within ANSI C, tentatively
entitled X3J11.1. The mission of NCEG is to publish a Technical report,
NOT a standard. Watch for the ballot in the next few weeks. I'll 
post a report on the outcome. Future NCEG meetings are schedules in the
days immediately prior or following ANSI C meetings.
