The manual says it is possible to call the optimizer separately.
How do I do that, and what (if any) arguments does it take?
When I compile with the -O option, I only get warnings about
dead assignments being eliminated, but the manual states several other
optimizations can be made. Is there a "verbose" mode for GO?
I am curious, as I have tried to write code that begs for optimization
to see how good a job it's doing, and would like to be notified of the
actions GO takes.
