I have owned a A2000 since 1987 and have been using it contiuously and effortlessly.. I am now at Plymouth State College am am currently a "Student MacIntosh Represenative." This simply translates that I promote and sell MacIntoshes... I am now giving up this position, as I have a distinct conflict of intrest. I have no complaints about the usefulness of the MacIntoshes, but I do have a quarl over the prices attached to these machines... The cost of the BOTTOM LINE machine (A Mac Plus) is $995.. One could easily outfit themselves with an Amiga 500 with many more benefits at this price than the Plus... As far as I know, I am the ONLY AMIGA USER ON CAMPUS! I am trying to change this by means of demonstrations... /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ As for the Subject.. How can the "amiga's image" be fading when so many people are taking so much interest in it..??? Comp.sys.amiga/PeopleLink/GEinie/Usergroups/Commodore's Ad campaign are all tell tale signs that the Amiga is a growing productive tool that many people are recognizing as an affordable alternative to higher (over)priced machines.. These other machines offer less at the entry level and cost more to exapand.. I think there are many people out there who dislike the Amiga due to its versitility/flexibility, or , more to the point, its price/performace.. Fred (psc90.uucp!pyr464)
