Since Im fairly new to the Amiga world and my experience with hardware is rather limited I would like to know the following: 1.) What is the largest and most inexpensive internal expansion board I can get and what would be the approximate cost. Now I know theres plenty of magazines that will give me this info. But what I really want to know is are these board just "pop-em in and go..." or do they require some modification to the A500 itself. 2.) As far as HD's goes, Im lost. There are so many brands that it's almost confusing to even start looking for one. My basic needs are as follows. Probably 40-60MB of space, external (of course) and seperate power supply. Now the next question would be rather geered toward expansion again. Since most drives (only SCSI?) can themselves be expanded (more memory, floppy etc.) what kind of other things do I need. Would one SCSI contoller do this or can I get away without SCSI and use a generic HD controller (and would that allow me to expand memory). Maybe some expanded A500 owners can give me some advice and direction.
