As such, they're not outstanding. I've seen better prices in Computer Shopper. I paid $419 for an ST157N. The price for the ST138N is _way_ out of line, though. By "bare drive", I mean you'll need to add a power supply and presumably, a case of some sort. This will add another $125 or so to the cost. (I used a power supply from a dead PC clone (Use # 997 for a Dead PC :) and didn't bother with a case. You can cut _some_ corners. The Seagate ST 1xxN series seems to be quite decent, and come with a 1 year factory warranty, which Seagate will honor even if the dealer does not, though it will cost you $35. Peanuts, relatively speaking. I've been very pleased with mine.
