I have tried three comm programs. Modem Magician seems unable to talk directly over a serial line. Modem MGR works fine from my Apple //c but not from the GS. It appears to be machine dependent. It complains that the GS is not a //c. AE Pro just sits there. I get nothing from the UNIX PC. Any suggestions? Could the serial port be defective? How could I check this? I have tried various combinations of null modems and using the printer port. The cables I have tried are a 2GS to Imagewriter and 2GS to Modem. **kent Kent Archie att!iwtbv!kca
