Message-ID: <429@althea.UUCP> Date: 26 Nov 89 02:12:00 GMT Organization: Shakedown St. Public Access Unix - New Brunswick, NJ Lines: 17 Hi. I recently inherited an Apple serial printer, 80 Columns, Model # A9M0303. Unfortunately I received it without a manual. I have it connected to an IBM PC, and it works OK , at 9600 baud. However, it never raises CTS, so it only works with cts tied high. This causes the printer's internal buffer(?) to be overrun after a page or so, causing garbage output. There are two banks of switches accessible, but none of them appear to control the baud. My question is this: how can I either 1. enable the rs-232 handshaking, or 2. set the baud rate lower? All and any help will be appreciated, and I will also put in a good word with Santa for you. Dewey Paciaffi eddjp@althea.UUCP
