I disagree completely! DOSXL is a hundred times better than DOS 2.5 and compares favorably to SpartaDOS. It doesn't take too much more memory, and has a resident command line interface, which is always nice. It is 100% DOS 2.0 compatable and has an optional menu driven interface if so desired. (It also can be made resident...uses memory though - perhaps this is why you thought it used a lot of memory?) From the point of view of an Atari 800 user, this DOS is a real godsend; I suppose if you have an XL or XE, SpartaDOS would probably make much more sense though... -- David M.
