I have a vague memory that someone mentioned that this was a bug in TOS (that happens when autobooting from HD) and that it was fixed in TOS v1.4. The way that I get around this problem is to access the drive in my profile. So that when msh comes up the drive is read and stops spinning after the read. I just do a "ls a:\" at the end of my profile. I know that this is pretty Kludgy, is there another fix/workaround? -Joe Gilray
