Well, given that virtual memory and other wonderful things are available on the '030, it shouldn't be too difficult. My understanding is that the only reason that Mach isn't totally free yet is that it relies upon BSD, which still has v7 code in it. I also was lead to believe that many folks (GNU ones, supposedly) are working to "free" the rest of BSD, so the whole shmeer can be given away. If this all works out, GNU may end up being based on Mach. There hasn't been a GNU bulletin since this summer, so they may have made some progrress since then... >Is Mach PD?
