Actually, you can obtain working copies of the files by uudecoding them.

You can ftp the program from uunet.uu.net (192.48.96.2) via anonymous
ftp.  To get a working copy of your C64 file:

   1) Get uudecode and compile it on your UNIX machine.
   2) Run uudecode on your C64 file
   3) Do a binary transfer from the UNIX machine to your 64.

That's it!
