The department would like to convert it to a UNIX machine, and add an Ethernet connection. The Microvax is equipped with: 2 RD53 71Meg disk drives 1 TSV05 Tape drive 2 RX50 Diskette drives I am unfamiliar with the MicroVAX and VMS. I would like to know: 1. Is it possible to put 4.3BSD UNIX on this machine? How can I go about doing this? (we have a site license for Berkley UNIX) We have a VAX 11/780, if this would help in creating a bootable UNIX. 2. What type of Ethernet card will function with 4.3BSD Ethernet drivers? Any information would be appreciated.
