A friend of mine managed to scrounge a couple of "samples" from a manufacturer or supplier's rep when I needed one. I don't recall which manufacturer(s) make this chip. --- QM v1.00 * Origin: GG's_point of Cuckoo's Nest : Hudson, NH : HST (1:132/119.1) ------------------------------ Date: 11-19-89 (22:57) To: ALL Subject: CHIPS - AGAIN From: VAN VANHORN OK, if nobody has any idea where to get the 26LS32-3 DEC chips I need, can anyone point me to the right DEC phone number? The cause is that the code that tests for sufficient memory drops a bit if you have "too much" available memory. My workaround is to run Kermit and push to a new command shell (three times!) until I have gotten available memory down to about 550K. Any other sufficiently large combination of memory-resident programs should also work. --- * Origin: Midnight DEC - The place for DEC sales & information (Opus 1:101/45) ------------------------------ Date: 11-22-89 (07:29) To: MARK BORNSTEIN Subject: RE: NOT ENOUGH !! I've been buying them with 10 meg HD and 512KB or 640KB for $450, from a dealer in Texas. One even came through with a RBW clock. We have an immediate need for another one. --- * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Maryland - 301-622-2247 (Opus 1:109/1 ------------------------------
