I follow the echo very close and am very interested in any new software for the 'bow. Still do whatever I can to support it on the BBS. Knowing me I'll get another machine in the future:-). I just call my local OPUS board and fumble around. I am very interested in the message you posted from John Meneghini at Clearpoint who has a PRO350 for sale -- in fact I think there are a couple of others in the area who are interested -- they, however, have been involved in the Boeing strike and may be short of cash right now. Anyway, I AM interested and would like to know: 1.) Which version of P/OS? 2.) What are the programming tools and applications? Could you pass this along to John? My address is 12030 - 36th Avenue, N.E. Seattle, WA 98125-5637 phone is (206)365-5795 Thanks! Knowing Mark, I doubt he bilked you. I suggest that you produce a COPY of the 'cashed' MO from the bank and ship it to Mark. The bank will give you a copy at no charge. Send the copy to Mark. It seems VERY strange that you would not respond to him until now. What are YOU hiding? Why do you not want to pay the bill? It seems mighty strange that you come out of the woodwork, a LONG time after the problem. I know Mark has mentioned it many times in this echo and I have heard him say it other times also. Knowing how much Mark needs the $20, I am sure he is GOING OUT OF HIS WAY to bilk someone who he does not know. Its the principle of the thing... At this point in time, it is up to YOU to prove that the money order was cashed by Mark (or cashed by anyone). - mark --- QM v1.00 * Origin: VAXCat; Merrimack, NH;Home of the Black VAXCat;(603)424-0923 (1:132/ ------------------------------ Date: 11-24-89 (22:31) To: MARK BORNSTEIN Subject: YES -- ENOUGH ALREADY From: GEORGE THEALL MB>In a message of <20 Nov 89 20:06:48>, Geoff Reed (1:343/3) writes: MB> MB>> Mr. Bournstein, I fealt that your latest rash of attacks upon me MB>>deserved at least 1 reply from me. ... I don't really care whether Geoff is honest or a deadbeat in his financial dealings. But I do care, Mark, that your flames at him are likely to drive away a member of the Rainbow community who, in the 2 months that I've had access to this Echo, has contributed significantly IMHO to the Rainbow community with his posts on PC disk formats and MSGED. Must your bitterness so rule your participation here that your efforts are dedicated to attacking Geoff and those who support him in some fashion? Please, think about what you hope to gain by this strategy. And consider as well how this flamefest reflects on you, both as a person and as a (former, perhaps) business owner. As for you, Geoff, I encourage you to send Mark *** privately *** whatever proof you have that you paid him. For a small fee I imagine you can request a xerox of the cancelled money order you spoke of. This would include the signature of whoever cashed/deposited it and be a good first step in resolving the matter.
