My wife wants to offload some of her statistical work to
a 80386 machine and needs a good FORTRAN compiler which runs
under a DOS extender, like PHAR LAP.  I basically only know
that such things exist but have no feel if they are worth
anything.  

She will need the following:

1.  Support for 80387 or Weitek FPU
2.  About 1MW of Real Data
3.  Large Files
4.  Optionally, Namelist.

If you have any experience with FORTRAN under DOS extenders,
I would like to know what you think.
