Lines: 15 Can anyone tell me the difference between CGA, EGA, VGA, MGA, and other cards, in the way that they handle signals between the card and the monitor? I have been told that if I upgrade from my current CGA to, for example, EGA, I need a new monitor. I have no problem with that. But I would like to know WHY! Feel free to be technical in your answer.
