Well, to cut a long story short, it works - it comes with a *special* version of BackFax (which is customised to only work with the Orchid - nasty idea) and works quite happily with Versaterm and, yuck spit, Prodigy (not that I use it you understand). Cost is around $425 which is not unfair considering that it does deliver the 9600 baud Fax portion (4800 was not a sensible option for me with phone costs the way they are). I'm quite pleased so far, I have been told that it works with ATM, so goodbye 3* fonts - any other questions ?
