Well, thanks to Karl Smith (ksmith@jarthur.claremount.edu), this problem 
is solved!  It seems that for some odd reason, Stepping Out II (which I had
*completely* forgotten about) was causing the problem.  After I took it out
of my System Folder and rebooted everything was hunky-dorey.  Yeahhh!

BTW, Evan at Sequent, I've tried mailing you this, but everything is 
bouncing back... :-(
