Pk., MD 20742 Lines: 17 Since I have switched from an SE to a Mac II with Apple's RGB monitor, I have noticed that it is affecting my eyes. After using the monitor for a while, I see a fine white grid superimposed over bright colors (especially those containing red). That is, I might be driving down the road and see a red van which looks textured. I pull up close and see that it is perfectly smooth. It seems to help if I keep the brightness at the middle dent, and turn the contrast way down (it looks muddy when I first turn it on, but it grows on you. In fact, I had severe problems when I first got the monitor because I had the contrast set to high. This makes the color graphics look spectatular, but I guess it would have burned a hole in my retinas :-). Anyone else experienced this problem? Wayne Folta (folta@cs.umd.edu 128.8.128.8)
