Back around February or March, there was a discussion of UW, and
someone announced that they were working on a similar program that
was more portable, flexible, and had file transfer capability built
in.

I seem to recall that during the summer someone announced that this
had been developed within AT&T and was thus available via the
toolchest, but I could have been imagining things.

Does anyone know the story on this?
