Summary: Mouse CDEV not remembering settings Keywords: mouse, CDEV, PRAM Message-ID: <8770@thor.acc.stolaf.edu> Date: 20 Nov 89 20:35:23 GMT References: <1989Nov13.235214.22071@sli.com> Reply-To: sobiloff@thor.stolaf.edu (Blake Sobiloff) Followup-To: comp.sys.mac Organization: St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN Lines: 18 Can someone out there please tell me (us!) what is going on with our Pluses? Both evanc@sequent.UUCP and I are having the same problem with our Mouse settings--they are stuck on "Tablet" speed! I have tried replacing the battery, which reset the PRAM in the process, and the only thing it did was take me from "Fastest" (where I was stuck originally) to "Tablet" and leave me there--this is *much* worse. Someone suggested that I have my analog board replaced, but I would think that there would be more indications of a bad analog board than the failure to remember the settings of the Mouse CDEV. The puzzling part is that all the other settings are remembered correctly--only the mouse tracking speed is forgotten! Anyone know how to "hard set" the value with ResEdit? PLEASE HELP... PLEASE... -A very distraught Blake -- * Blake Sobiloff sobiloff@thor.acc.stolaf.edu * * AppleLink: UG0254 Voice/Answering Machine: \\// * * "The firm basis of government (507) 663-6316 * * is justice, not pity." -Woodrow Wilson //\\ *
