As an addendum to Ken Olum's problem with copying over a new dynamic
library: `su' and `/usr/etc/ldconfig' are both dynamically linked.  I
found this out while testing a shell script to install Sun's named-based
name resolver shared library.  In my case I used gnuemacs running as root
to install a working shared library.
