Keywords: termcap? trash terminal? Message-ID: <3239@cbnewsd.ATT.COM> Date: 20 Nov 89 18:14:28 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 15 I have a hp2621b terminal at home, and I find that when I hit certain key sequences (like the function keys), my terminal completely dies. From that point on, nothing is sent out the modem - until I do a shift/cntl/break to reset the terminal. I think the kill character is cntl-R, but I'm not sure. Does anybody know if this "kill-key" is a wonderful feature that I just don't understand, or simply the mark of a poor and/or buggy design? Is there a way to bring it back to life (and save my work?). Thomas Mellman Indian Hill Park 1A344 work: (312) 713-4479 att!ihlpj!mellman core: 348-4479
