Is there a way to define the shape of a marker in SunPHIGS?

I need to put symbols on a map and zoom the map without zooming the
symbols. A Sun rep said that I'd have to zoom everything and then "unzoom"
all my symbols. However, I could have over 1000 symbols --- SLOW.


	Any information is greatly appreciated.
	I will post any solutions.
