What has happened is that different programs are interpreting the version number differently. There is no 2.17 -- this the 11 in 2.11 being viewed in hex (11h is 17 decimal). Sigh, a minor ambiguity in the sdk docs. Current release of windows 286 and windows 386 is at 2.11 (or 2.17 for you decimal folks). You should rely on the File/aBout box in the MS-DOS Exec for the `correct' version number rather than any other means.
