Another problem solved, thanks to the NET!

Some people asked me to email them my results,
and I tried but it bounced (internet mail works
well, but UUCP dies regulary).

My colormap was corrupted or out of synch and I
kept getting a "X Toolkit Error: cannot allocate
colormap entry..." when I said " -fg blue" for
instance.  (this is on a DecStation 3100).

To rebuild the data base, make sure you have
a good copy of rgb.txt; format is:
<red value> <g val> <b val> <colorname>

and then say:
rgb rgb <rgb.txt
That will create a new rgb.pag and rgb.dir.

I rebooted to make it take effect; I suspect you can
simply restart X, or maybe even issue a command to
make the change take effect (it doesn't work without
doing something!).
