I'm having problems installing GNU Emacs 18.54 on the DECstation 2000
running Ultrix.  Here is one of the error messages I got while trying
to do a c-x c-f:

	Wrong type argument: char-or-string-p, t


Also I didn't compile the Emacs source (via "make all") as a
superuser.
