It will fail the cmp test no matter what, as the objects have built-in time stamps. I have compiled and run programs with GCC and they work fine, with two exceptions: - Programs using curses don't display porperly. - I couldn't get any X11R3 clients to work with the exception of xcalc. (Back with 1.34 - haven't tried since, as I no longer have any workstations here) I am not sure of what would cause the above problems (I am only now learning to program with X-Windows).
