Now we are bickering over parenthood of ideas. I suppose that if someone convinces St. Peter that he was the real creative force behind EMACS, he will somehow gain a seat closer to God in the main dining room, while the others will be forced to eat with mere archangels? The fact is that I invented EMACS while I was Socrates a couple of millenia ago. I was merely waiting for someone to invent a proper medium. By the time that occurred I had lost interest and wass busy inventing ideas that wouldn't be though of until the 40th century. Of course all ideas are already there waiting for someone to see them.
