Forgetting "to those with snob appeal" for a moment, since that was not really the motivation behind hideous book burning attrocities, just how is not creating a newsgroup as evil as burning of books[1]? There are plenty to go around in the world. The attrocities I speak of were the forceful entry into private homes to obtain books to burn, and the burning of public books, which was an attempt at censorship of the thoughts of the entire populace.
