A week or so ago, I posted a question about an "illegal function" error
message from an attempted make on news 2.11 B, patchlevel 19 on Microport
SysV/AT.  The error pointed to line 1009 of inews.c.

Not having received any response, I started backing out the patches
to see which patchlevel would compile.  I got lucky on the first try
and patchlevel 18 compiled right off.  So, whatever this problem was, it
arrived in Patch 19.
