I would be interested in hearing from anyone out there who is doing work in this area, and would like to initiate a discussion here about the possibilities and problems involved in such applications. What I've discovered so far is that the main contribution of AI to interface design has been in the area of natural language front ends, mainly to expert systems. How productive do you think this effort has been? And what other applications have been found for AI in interface design?
