The media for a 1.44M disk must be better quality than the media for a 720k disk. I suspect that the people who make these disks test them, and sort them into 3 bins: HD, DD, and rejects. I discourage use of 720k disks at 1.44M, even if they seem to work ok. Your data is probably has value to you! Don't take unnecessary risks. In the rare case that original ideas Kenneth J.
