Unfortunately, the data was written long ago on a Tektronix 4051 with internal tape drive, resulting in a tape that can only be read back on a 4051, or the similar models 4052 or 4054. If you're wondering why I'm posting to comp.graphics, it's because the Tektronix 4051 (and I presume its succesors) is a stand-alone graphics computer with a calligraphic storage tube. The creator of the data no longer has his machine, so it's up to me to find one! There's a lot of data to be dumped: he has about 30 tapes. I've tried the local Tektronix office, but we weren't able to put together the necessary pieces to communicate this data off of a 4051,2,4 and onto anything else (and I will take anything! IBM PC, Mac, Unix tar tape - anything in fairly common use). Does anyone have a setup that can take data off these tapes and put it on something common? Please let me know, and we can try to work something out. Thanks! -Andrew Glassner (glassner.pa@xerox.com) Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
