Two books have just been published which cover the entire first year programming and program design course at Imperial College, University of London. They are: "Program Design with Modula-2" S. Eisenbach & C. Sadler, Addison-Wesley ISBN 0 201 17567 3 and "Abstract Data Types in Modula-2" R. Harrison John Wiley & Sons ISBN 0 471 92230 7 Well, being a 2nd year student at Imperial, I can tell you that the book by Susan Eisenbach is, indeed very good, though I haven't actually read any of the published book, Susan used the proofs as lecure notes last year. My only complain is that she uses 'bubbles' in her data flow diagrams, rather than something easier to write in. -- Adam email: zmacv39@doc.ic.ac.uk snail: Adam Hebblewhite, Department of Computing, Imperial College, London quote: "I'm not a number, i'm a free man!" - The Prisoner disclaimer: This message is mine personally and does not constitute Department : of Computing, policy, opinion etc.
