I asked the UUNET postmaster who gave me a great big "duhhhh," so I would appreciate any help. In Smail, exit 70 is EX_SOFTWARE and means that getmynames() was unable to find a machine's own host name using uname(), *hostname or whatever. Is this true for sendmail 5.61 (which I think UUNET uses) also?
