I know INMOS has the B008 board, onto which 4 TRAMS (each with a T800 and 2MB) can be placed. This gives a total of 8MB and 40 (INMOS) MIPS (all in one AT slot). We are actually using this configuration now for a compute vision application. However we would like to investigate other possible configurations that would give us more raw speed. INMOS has pre-announced a H1 (100mips) chip but this is not available until at least 1991. Processors may include the i860, i960CA and possibly a Motorola 88000 or even 68040s and others. I know that CSPI will have a PC board available in May'90 which will contain an i860 with 2-8 MB. I also know that Intel has an evaluation board for the i960CA for the PC. ARE THERE ANY OTHERS out there?? I would also appreciate leads to optimizing C compilers and other software tools for such boards/processors. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adrian Lee-Kwen UUCP : uunet!attcan!lsuc!array!adrian Array Systems Computing ARPA : adrian%array.UUCP@uunet.UU.NET 200-5000 Dufferin Street Phone : +1(416)736-0900 Fax: (416)736-4715 Downsview, Ont CANADA M3H 5T5 Telex : 063666 (CNCP EOS TOR) .TO 21:ARY001 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
