I am going to build a simulator for Petri-Nets, and I think that
building  it on an asynchonous parallel machine is more appropriate
than a sequential implementation. Since it is basicaly a Discrete
Event Simulator I am asking if anyone has any bibliographical
references and/or tool  pointers to give me. 

Has anyone had practical expirience on the subject?
