My PC is *not* IBM *not* IBM compatible (It is domestic model - i.e., Japanese model - from NEC). So I am building an SCSI host adaptor for it and am going to put an SCSI<->ST506 adaptor for my CDC 94205-51. This PC, NEC 9801F, is supposed to work with DTC 510B - It has driver in the rom using vendor specific command set of DTC 510B. So my primary concern is where can I get this controller? (This one seems to support SASI only, though.) However, I am also interested in other SCSI to ST506 adaptors, so that I can compare the capabilities and etc. Of my special interests are to acquire the specs for the controllers. Maybe, then, the first places to try are the technical assistance people at various controller manufactuerers, but I do not know what numbers to call. If you know any sources of such information, would you please e-mail me? Pointers to magazines, BBS phone numbers, technical assistance phone numbers, etc. are all welcome. BTW, I've dialed Western Digital BBS to see if they have such an adaptor only to find that almost all the controllers they have are for IBM compatibles. Living in an IBM world, but I am not an IBM guy. 8-( Thanks in advance. ---Soohong =================== soohong@psuvax1.cs.psu.edu soohong@psuvax1.bitnet UUCP: psuvax1!soohong USPS: 333 Whitmore lab, University Park, PA 16802 phone:(814)234-0938 -- =================== soohong@psuvax1.cs.psu.edu soohong@psuvax1.bitnet UUCP: psuvax1!soohong USPS: 333 Whitmore lab, University Park, PA 16802 phone:(814)234-0938 Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
