However, like the Okidata, the Epson came without a manual, and the local "authorized repair" yo-yos want $50 for a user manual. They very smugly told me that a FX-286e manual is quite different, and the '286 was a not-too-common printer. Is there anybody who has a spare manual on their shelf, or at least could xerox the pages with the escpae codes and the fonts? By "printing" to a file with Multifate, Wordscar and Word Imperfect I've managed to decode a lot, but not everything, and a deadline is approaching... My immediate need is: What are the codes to turn on and off perforation skip? What is the difference between "emphasized" and double-strike? The printer has a "SelecType" sticker on the top - is that a aftermarket option, or Epson provided? What does ^T do? What does ^U do? What does # do? (it was followed with a "$", hex 24) Thanks in advance Mike Morris Internet: Morris@Jade.JPL.NASA.gov Misslenet: 34.12 N, 118.02 W #Include quote.cute.standard Bellnet: 818-447-7052 #Include disclaimer.standard Radionet: WA6ILQ Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
